Current Openings:

1) PIC operations and test engineer

Aloe Semiconductor, Inc., a best-in-class silicon-photonic product company, is looking for an operations and test engineer to set up and maintain silicon-photonic wafer-level testing and manage the operational aspects of high-volume production.  Duties include orchestrating die-level qualification, setting up electrical and optical wafer probing, programming automated measurements, analyzing yield, debugging production issues, and helping manage wafer supply. A desire to learn and grow is essential.

Mandatory Qualifications, Experience, Skills, Education and Certifications:

·  Semiconductor experience

·  3 or more years production experience

·  Optical lab experience

·  Proficient in computer programming languages such as Python

·  Masters degree in engineering or physics

Desirable Qualifications, Experience, Skills, Education and Certifications:

·  Experience with yield analysis of devices

·  Experience with qualifying semiconductor devices

·  Experience with wafer probing

·  Experience with back-grinding, dicing, and die sorting

·  Experience with silicon photonic devices

·  Understanding of the fabrication process of silicon photonics

·  PhD degree in engineering or physics

2) Photonic design engineer

Aloe Semiconductor, Inc., a best-in-class silicon-photonic product company, is looking for an optical engineer to help with silicon-photonic chip design, simulation, and lab testing. This person must have a deep knowledge of optical physics in devices and the use of them in subsystems and systems.  This includes knowledge of electro-magnetic wave theory, linear systems, linear algebra, calculus, and semiconductor physics.  Semiconductor fabrication experience is highly desirable but not mandatory. This person must desire to make best-in-class practical devices with solid engineering and contribute to innovations that alter industry.  A desire to learn and grow is essential.

Essential Qualifications, Experience, Skills, Education and Certifications:

·  Deep knowledge of electro-magnetic theory, optical fibers, filters, polarization, photo detection, and modulation

·  Optical lab experience

·  Proficient in computer programming languages such as MATLAB and Python

·  PhD degree in engineering or physics

Desirable Qualifications, Experience, Skills, Education and Certifications:

·  Experience with optical communications

·  Experience with photonic integrated circuit design

·  Experience with silicon and/or InP photonic devices

·  Understanding of the fabrication process of photonic integration

·  Clean room experience
